26 September 2015 is the day where fancy rats will be in the spotlight.
In Duisburg, Germany, World's greatest pet store “Zoo Zajac”  will reserve a special room where ratlovers will gather and present the animals to everyone who is curious about the furry little pet.
Even though fancy rats have shown themselves to be great pets over the last few years, there are still people who have an unjustified aversion to this friendly cuddly pet. And us rodent enthusiasts from all different countries will convince you on the first Rebas Rat show of 2015!

 Program

The program of the day will have an informative nature.

Curious newcomers can get to know the fancy rat, and there will be a show for all varieties of fancy rats, by and INTERNATIONAL JURY! Both breeders, newcomers and lovers of fancy rats can come take a look at how the rats will be assessed by a real judge.
Experts will be present, who can answer all your questions on fancy rats!
Zoo Zajac's store part is so very extensive and specialized, and they have various exotic animals, so be sure to visit the store as well!

Information on the show

We are organizing a very extensive show. The rats will be judged on behavior, exterior and condition. We've invited two judges from the Czech Republic: the lovely ladies Helena Hanusova Luzna  & Veronika Ptackova, who both have years of experience in jugding rats, and both participate regularly in international shows themselves. From the Netherlands we've asked Rian van Andel to join us. She too has lots of international experience in judging fancy rats.

For everyone who has a nice pet rat at home, and wishes to have their animal assessed by a real judge, we have invited Franziska Staschel from Germany. She will also be responsible for the final classification for the standard show.

Organisation
After a small period of lost contact, this show has brought us back together again. Tonia Vergunst, chairwoman of Rodent Club Rattonia, and Rene Bastiaans, “The king of rats”, have joined forces to make this day a perfect event. Both Tonia and Rene are very experienced in organizing small animal shows in several countries. They will to their utmost to make fans of the small rodents, both visitors and participants, have the best day they could wish for.

 Rats are considered “young” up to and including 5 months of age. Rats from 6 months and older have to be entered as “old”.

 Entry fees

  • Each rat:  2,00 euro
  • Catalog + administration fee:  5,00 euro ( 1 per family/participant, obligatory!)

 

Show rules for participants:

  • Entries close 14 days before the show. After this date no changes can be made and entries can not be cancelled anymore. Changes and cancellations can be send via email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • In the case of abcence during the show, or due to late cancellation, the participant will still be obliged to pay the full entry fee.
  • Animals need to be presented before 9 am. For participants from foreign countries exceptions can be made AFTER approval of the show secretary.
  • During the show, it is not allowed for participants to discuss with the judges.
  • Participants are allowed to sell animals to friends and/or family
  • Unhealthy looking animals, animals with parasites, visibly pregnant or nursing animals will be disqualified.
  • Animals can not be taken out of their cages until after the show (again, for participants from foreign countries exceptions can be made after approval of the show secretary)
  • Rebas Rat show is not responsible for any possible damage during the show.
  • Animals should be presented in rectangular, transparent plastic show boxes, which need to have close fitting lids, on which the show number can be attached. Any other type of cage will not be accepted.
  • Show boxes should be a minimum size of 30x20cm
  • Maximum of two rats are allowed to be housed together, IF they are distinctly different looking.
  • Rats should be provided with food, and fresh fruit and/or a bottle of drinking water
